Fuller Lake Skating Club members are thankful to still be on the ice during the ongoing changes to COVID-19 restrictions.
Skaters are enjoying the chance to remain active and socialize to help get them through these challenging times.
Isabel Anderson, 15, lives in Ladysmith and is a Grade 10 Ladysmith Secondary School student. She had a rare chance to perform her free skate routine for the camera, with actual competitions on hold until the new year and possibly not happening at all for a while.
Anderson is fine with that while continuing to focus on her skating skills.
“I don’t miss the stress of competitions, but I miss seeing other skaters and watching my friends compete,” she confided. “I like that I can work on what is fun and challenging instead of what I need to do for my level in competition.”
