Adults skating alongside youth are a nice addition to the Fuller Lake Skating Club.

Cassandra Taylor (nee Ruppenthal) was a club member from a very young age throughout high school and has enjoyed getting back into skating. Pam Ellis also has extensive experience from the past and skates regularly with the club.

Both have daughters within the club and it’s neat they’ve been able to be on the ice with them for practices.

Taylor and Ellis showcased their talents as part of the club’s spring concert Friday at Fuller Lake Arena.

Taylor commented it’s been many years since she had done a solo in a concert such as this, but it didn’t look like she’d lost a step during a polished routine.

Having the adults in their midst provides a boost for the younger skaters in the club and their experience is immeasurable, just like having additional coaches. It’s a unique part of the program that the Fuller Lake club has maintained and it works extremely well.
