Our province is fortunate to have a forest industry that has provided countless jobs both direct and indirect.
These jobs, along with stumpage paid to the government, has provided us with a good economy.
In the nearly 50 years I have worked in the industry, I have seen a huge improvement in the way our forests are managed. The North Cowichan municipal forest is a good example of a very well-managed forest.
I urge everyone to complete the survey to resume the good logging practices in the municipal forest.
