Thank you Warren Goulding for the foresight of creating the public market in uptown Chemainus.

It is a great facility with over 20 vendors offering a variety of crafts, clothing and specialty handmade goods.

Hand sanitizing, masks and social distancing are mandatory, but that doesn’t stop it having a very nice friendly atmosphere. The Coffee Row, Archie’s Parlour and Andy’s Fish and Chips are an added bonus. It is a great place to socialize with one’s friends.

With the continued COVID-19 restrictions, we must all concentrate on shopping local, and help our businesses survive, and that applies to all the shops, restaurants and other services in Chemainus.

Christmas greetings, and hopefully things will improve in the new year.

Julia Barton,
