In Loving Memory ~
Claren Mulholland (Whittingham) was born March 22, 1946, and passed away November 8, 2023.
She is survived by her granddaughters: Jade (Dylan) and Sarah, and the light of her life, great-grandson Asher.
She will also be lovingly remembered by his partner for the last 30 years, Don Verbeem as well as numerous family members and dear friends. She had achieved the title of great-grandmother and great-great-great-aunt, and she, indeed, was great.
Claren was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Blanche Whittingham, her first husband, Earl Mulholland and tragically, both of her children, Laura and Darwin.
Claren (Nana) fought an epic 3-year battle with cancer. She showed her true strength and unwavering determination, and throughout her fight, she stayed positive, often giving comfort and lifting everyone else's spirits in true Claren fashion.
She was always the rock in our family and will forever be missed by her loved ones, friends (who are more like extended family), and her beloved Don.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Duncan Firehall, 468 Duncan Street, Duncan, BC.
We welcome anyone who knew Claren and whose life was impacted by her loving and welcoming spirit to please come and share any stories, fond memories or laughs to help us celebrate the remarkable impact Claren had on the lives of those lucky enough to know her.
