The Director of Planning and Building gives notice that North Cowichan Council will consider issuance of a Temporary Use Permit during their Regular Council Meeting to be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. This meeting, which will be conducted both in person in Council Chambers and electronically by video conference using the Cisco Webex platform, is open to the public and anyone wishing to participate may do so in person by attending Council Chambers, or by joining the meeting using a computer, smartphone or tablet. Purpose of the Permit
The purpose of the Temporary Use Permit is to permit the following uses on an annual basis for a three-year term during the BC Bike Race Event from July 2 to July 6, 2023; July 5 to 10, 2024 and July 4 to 10, 2025:
1. Overnight parking at 1658 Robert Street legally described as Lot1, Section20, Range 2, ComiakenDistrict, Plan 19407 (PID: 003-734-153).
2. Event facilities including administration,medical services, bike services, temporary washroom, food, and camping at the Croft on Ball Field legally described as Lots 11 to 20 all of Block 14, Section 20, Range 2, Comiaken District, Plan VIP 739 (PIDs: 008-630-330, 364, 429, 437, 453, 470, 488, 500, 526 and 534); Lots 1 to 20 all of Block 13, Section 20, Range 2, Comiaken District, Plan VIP 2003 (PIDs: 006-620-558, 566, 574, 591, 604, 612, 639, 655, 663, 680, 701, 710, 728, 744, 761, 787, 825, 833, 850 and 868); and Lots 1 to 8 all of Block 14, Section 20, Range 2, Comiaken District, Plan VIP739 (PIDs: 006-630-071, 119, 151, 186, 224, 241, 259 and 305).

All submissions received by the deadline will be reviewed by Council prior to making a decision on this application.
