North Cowichan has announced there are cooling centres open today (Monday, June 28) from noon to 6 p.m. for those who don’t have a place to beat the heat.

You can go to Fuller Lake Arena, the Crofton Community Centre or the Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre. The family can come in for a cold drink of water and dogs are welcome for a cool-down.
