The Cowichan Valley School District No. 79 Board of Education has launched its annual budget survey, asking the public to help guide the budget process by sharing its thoughts.

This year’s survey focuses on three main areas: Early Years’ Programming, Wellness and Programs of Choice. In addition to asking for feedback in these areas, the board is reporting back to the community on the advances made from last year’s responses.

“The School District’s budget is our financial plan that helps us deliver educational excellence for all learners in the Cowichan Valley School District,” noted Candace Spilsbury, chair of the Cowichan Valley School District’s Board of Education. “Our community plays a large role in how our budget is allocated, and in addition to regular feedback and community meetings, the annual budget survey provides vial information.”

The survey can be found on the Cowichan Valley School District’s social media channels and website.

Survey responses will be collected until Sunday, April 7.
