Chemainus Classical Concerts features Echoes of Goya with acclaimed guitarist William Feasley Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church.

Feasley is bringing a fascinating multi-media program to Chemainus that’s been described as dashing, delicious inflections of rhythm and sound colour, and guitar fireworks.

His music is influenced by the art of Spanish painter Francisco Goya (1746-1848).

Slides of Goya’s art are paired with various musical works, providing a unique opportunity to experience both the music and the art in relation to one another.

The featured composers, among others, include: Enrique Granados, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Joaquín Rodrigo.

Feasley, who’s known to be self-confident, sincere and communicates warmly with his audience, has many awards to his credit, including the Peabody Conservatory’s coveted Artist Diploma. He has also literally traversed the world in the course of his concert career.
