Penelakut Tribe’s volunteer firefighters come from the community.

The team goes for annual training to ensure members have their training up to date.

The department asks people who are reporting fires to call 911 and it will be paged.

Penelakut Tribe also has a volunteer First Responders for emergencies within the Penelakut communities. The team does training that covers a variety of different scenarios.

Emergency calls to 911 will result in First Responders being paged.

The semi-seclusion of the Penelakut communities makes these departments essential to ensure the safety of members.
