Everybody loves Christmas.
And the Chemainus United Church is catering to the masses with its annual Christmas bazaar.
The Everything Christmas event takes place in the upper hall of the church on Friday, Nov. 25 from 3-8 p.m. The bazaar will feature Christmas baking, seasonal decor, crafts, collectibles, toys and a ‘new to you’ table.
And for those who might be wondering, it is a Friday event, meant to coincide with the Chemainus Business Improvement Association’s Moonlight Madness shopping extravaganza.
“In the past, we have co-ordinated it with Moonlight Madness and then last year after not having our sale because of COVID we had it on a Saturday,” explained the United Church’s Helen Stephen. “So apart from last year it was always on a Friday night.”
In addition, the Free Radical Dixie Band will be playing Christmas Carols in the church sanctuary from 3-3:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to drop in and listen before heading to Moonlight Madness.
Afterwards, the ukulele group that meets weekly at the United Church will also play carols. The group is open to anyone and it’s a good opportunity for anyone interested in learning to play the ukulele to see what it’s all about.
Both musical presentations are free for everyone to enjoy.
