Action at Fuller Lake Park heats up

Eerie absence of people during the early part of the month

What a difference a couple of weeks makes.

On July 7, there was absolutely no one at Fuller Lake Park. The inclement weather of June carried over into the early stages of July.

In comparison, just two weeks later on July 21, there was a big crowd at the park. The emergence of true summertime weather brought people to the beach in droves.

Kids were swimming while others were on paddleboards, small boats or flotation devices again – just like old times.

The park is expected to see large crowds regularly now with warm weather in the forecast through the end of the month.

The park is undergoing some aesthetic improvements with a new pathway from the washroom area. Extensive fundraising is also underway for a new accessible playground to be built in the near future.
