A $50,000 donation made by Auxiliary to BC Cancer Foundation

Contribution will help provide more prostate exams each year

The Chemainus Health Care Auxiliary is getting caught up on those donation photo opportunities that didn’t happen during COVID.

The auxiliary presented a cheque for $50,000 to the BC Cancer Foundation during April at the Thrift store.

The donation will go towards an attachment to the PSMA-PET machine in Victoria, providing 800 more prostate scans per year.

Accepting the cheque from Auxiliary president Donna McCasky on behalf of the BC Cancer Foundation was Jordan McClymont.
