The Chemainus Cougars junior boys basketball team is learning to play as a team.

While victories have still been few and far between, the Cougars are continuing to improve by leaps and bounds.

Those extra hard leaps they make also pay dividends on pulling down rebounds.

Most of the players have now been together for at least a couple of seasons and are building momentum toward the return of senior boys basketball at Chemainus Secondary School.

There’s a lot of work still to be done, but coaches Casey Parsons and Graeme Arkell and the players are up for the task.
