Brass Camel returns to Crofton to play at the Osborne Bay Pub Saturday, March 2 for the second date on its 10-week, coast-to-coast ‘Over the Hump’ tour.

For the Vancouver-based band, 2023 was a transformative year. After several consecutive sell-out shows at home and the release of its debut album, ‘Brass’, the unique funk/progressive-infused rock group – which often draws comparison to acts as diverse as Supertramp, Rush and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard – hit the road on its first national tour to Montreal and back.

This successful first run energized the group, alerted the industry to its presence and wrapped up the year with a sold-out performance at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.

After Brass Camel’s tour this spring, the band will return to the west to record its sophomore album. By July, it’ll be back on the road again for a summer full of festival dates.

Brass Camel’s painstakingly crafted live presentation features double-neck guitars, custom stainless steel drums, huge marquee lights and more. It’s a lot to fit on a club stage, but all the ingredients that make its concert unforgettable are part of the reason touring Canada as an indie band works.

Tickets for the performance are available at eventbrite.ca.
