The Rexall Care Network cares for caregivers so they can take care of the ones they love.

A presentation on behalf of the network for $10,500 was made last week at the Chemainus Rexall store on Willow Street. Cake for the celebratory gathering was provided by Country Grocer Chemainus.

“Rexall Care Network is proud to be able to present Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society with a donation to help strengthen their caregiving support programs and, together, acknowledge the vital role caregivers play in the healthcare system,” noted Bryan Rizzardo, the district leader for B.C.

The Rexall Care Network shines a spotlight on unpaid caregivers in Canada, like the Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society.

The society is dedicated to improving the quality of life for caregivers. The CFCSS website provides much more information.

“There are many kinds of caregiving situations,” reads the preamble on the site. “At the Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society, we work specifically with caregivers who are supporting an adult care recipient living in the Cowichan Valley. We assist caregivers who are supporting loved ones at home or in long-term care facilities in the Cowichan Valley by providing a variety of free support services, catered to the individual needs of each caregiver we work with.”
