Municipality double dipping into the pockets of residents

Taxes continually increasing and now there’s an additional utilities bill

North Cowichan utility bills are now being set out three times a year.

These fees were formerly included in the property tax bill. So not only have our property taxes been substantially increasing year by year, the utilities are now billed in addition. It’s called double dipping.

Consider passing this message to the Municipality of North Cowichan: concerning utilities, spend more on building water reservoirs, which will reduce the water use restrictions and concentrate on other basic services. To reduce taxes, spend less on the frills and insure that civic projects are carried out efficiently.
