Visitors to the Chemainus fire hall open house on October 28 were impressed.
The volunteer firefighters, which include men and women, are a dedicated, knowledgeable and hard-working force vital to our community safety. The display of firefighting and rescue equipment, all kept organized and in top condition, was impressive.
The firefighters obviously spend considerable time learning the use of the equipment and how to respond to a range of civic emergencies, which can place them in danger. It is a comfort to know that we have this support in our community. Thank you!
