Bogus claims of B.C.’s unemployment being the lowest

Claim doesn’t even match the monthly statistics

Once again, our Environment Minister George Heyman in question period on Nov. 21 had the nerve to say that the B.C. NDP government has the lowest unemployment rate in comparison to the other nine provinces.

How so? B.C.’s unemployment rate for January 2023 was in fourth place, February fourth place, March second place, April fifth place, May fourth place, June fourth place, July fourth place, August second place, September fourth place and October fourth place.

Heyman had to take the regulated Oath of Allegiance after each provincial election to being a MLA in the province of B.C. Making the announcement that B.C. has the lowest unemployment rate of all the provinces in Canada is in violation of the Oath of Allegiance.

Why? B.C. has never been in first place in the year 2023.

Heyman is paid a taxpayer funded salary of $172,567 per year, including a fully-funded benefit plan and expense reimbursement.

Totally unacceptable when he makes bogus comments in the B.C. legislature.

Unbelievable!
