FRIDAY, DEC. 29

Meat Draw: Chemainus Legion 191, 4-7 p.m., 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Bingo: Every Friday, doors open at 5 p.m. and games begin at 6:30 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Pop-up barber shop: Victory Barber from Duncan is setting up, minimum $25 donation for 30 minutes in the chair and a beer, with all proceeds to the Cowichan Women Against Violence Society, call to book a slot (250-324-7468), 5-9 p.m., Riot Brewing, 101A-3055 Oak St., Chemainus.

New Year’s Latin Party: La Familia, music starts at 9 p.m., tickets $40 per person or $75 a couple, includes noisemakers, party hats, champagne, grand door prize, fun and dancing all night long, advance tickets at Osborne Bay Pub at the Crofton Hotel, 1534 Joan Ave., Crofton.
