School students and staff mark Pink Shirt Day

The message about the harms of bullying all starts with young people.

That’s why the annual Pink Shirt Day is so prominent within the schools. Last Wednesday, Feb. 28 was another opportunity for students to wear pink and keep the emphasis on anti-bullying behaviours that are harmful to others in so many ways.

Chemainus Secondary School students and staff were out in full force in pink apparel for the day.

It’s not just physical bullying that’s at the heart of the campaign, but also the effects of verbal, social and cyberbullying.
