The community will come together Saturday, March 2 to remember a beloved resident, Scott Borge.

A gathering is being held that day from 1-4 p.m. at the Crofton Community Centre for Borge, who died Jan. 30. He was 68.

Borge ran the glass portion of Sandpiper Gardens & Glass in Chemainus, with his wife of 45 years, Gunnell, handling the gardening side. He was known for outstanding service that made him a standout in the community, along with Gunnell.

Scott worked in the glass industry on Vancouver Island in Victoria and Mill Bay and ending in Chemainus.

People are welcome to attend the celebration in Crofton to share memories and stories.
