The baby boy, Reese Campbell Leier, was born at 12:17 a.m., weighing eight pounds, three ounces. He was wrapped up in a blue blanket made by his grandma as he greeted the media Jan. 1.
“There was another lady in labour at the same time so they were trying to get us to race,” said his mother Heather. “We won by 12 minutes.”
This is the second child for Heather and Mike Leier, who has a two-year-old son named Roman.
