Fuller Lake Skating Club members went into the Island regional competition in Port Alberni well-prepared and obtained some rather impressive results.

One of the club workhorses was Sophie Dawe. She earned a silver medal for Silver Interpretive and a bronze medal for the Star 5 category.

“Sophie had some great skates,” enthused coach Shannon McKinlay.

Brielle Varasteh was a Bronze Interpretive silver medalist and sister Caiden Varasteh won bronze for Gold Interpretive. Brielle was also ninth in Star 5 while Caiden claimed eighth in Star 6.

Lucy Street received a silver medal for her performance in Star 4.

The Pre-Novice and Star 5 categories brought seventh-place finishes for Jazmin Wheeler and Aaliyah Ward, respectively.

Leah Brown and Jasmine Taylor were both awarded silver for Star 2; Alexandra Ferneau claimed silver in Star 3; Julia Hussey captured bronze in Star 4; and Brooklyn Puska finished fifth in Star 4.
