The Chemainus Secondary School junior girls volleyball team continues to make progress as the season goes on.

Last Thursday’s outings at Brentwood College pitted the Cougars against three opponents.

“Our games at Brentwood were a lot of fun,” noted coach Graeme Arkell. “Our girls played very well.”

Chemainus dropped its two games against both Queen Margaret’s and Brentwood, but split the two against Brookes of Shawnigan Lake with a win and a loss.

“The Brentwood games were so close that they could’ve gone either way,” Arkell pointed out.

The Chemainus girls have a trio of games on top again Thursday, Oct. 26 at Chemainus Secondary School against Brentwood, Brookes and Queen of Angels.

They hope to continue gathering momentum before the Island tournament at Brentwood Nov. 14.
