This year’s Mount Brenton Golf Club championships brought more of the same great play that’s become the trademark of the event.
There were four category winners in low gross and net determined over the two-day championships in the men’s, ladies, senior men’s and super senior men’s divisions.
New dad Todd Bissenden proved you don’t need much sleep to play prolific golf, as he won the overall low gross with a five under par total of 137 and took the men’s division in a total runaway by 17 shots. Shane Gorrill captured men’s low net honours with a 139 total.
Ted Valleau earned the senior men’s division low gross with a score of 155. James Cricket claimed the senior low net with a total of 135.
Brian Aaberg was the super senior men’s division low gross champ with a 152 total. Jim Carlson compiled a really low net score of 125 for an average of 62.5 net per round.
Darleen Michell took top spot in the ladies’ low gross competition with a 178. Starr Adams won the low net for the ladies at 146.
