You can’t get high on CBD alone
A bee can extract nectar (honey) from a sunflower but not the seed from which you can extract oil by crushing. Likewise you can get THC from the cannabis bud by smoking or extraction methods for edibles; but you get oil from the seeds for CBD as an oil for medical uses, as an oil that can be used in several forms i.e. oil, pills and edibles.
You cannot get high on CBD any more than you can on canola oil or butter. However CBD has many health and healing properties.
By the way, there are 843 natural species of cannabis including the common stinging nettle.
