Total greed on the part of the BCGEU

What makes the union so special?

The latest government offer is a wage increase of 10.99 per cent with a $2,500 signing bonus for a three-year contract.

The B.C. General Employees’ Union is asking for a wage increase of 5 per cent per year in a two-year contract because of rising inflation costs.

The government offer works out to a 3.6 per cent wage increase per year.

Why is the BCGEU so special in relation to other union contracts?

An example is the CUPE union that negotiates contracts in all B.C. municipalities. Already in many municipalities employees have voted to accept three-year contracts with a wage increase of 2 per cent per year.

Total greed on part of the BCGEU and failing to realize that the taxpayers of B.C. are paying their wages.
