Passed on quickly at Cowichan District Hospital after battling cancer for several years.
Born in Saskatchewan, where her father Harry worked for the railroad and as a station agent. After several jobs including at a card and flower shop and as a telephone operator, she settled on going to school for nursing to become an LPN. In the early 1970s, she moved to Vancouver Island to work at the Chemainus Hospital and met her husband to be, Bob McGregor. Having two sons, Terry and Kim, she stayed at home to raise them before going back to work for a few years as a nurse again.
She enjoyed her family and being with people, crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking, gardening, painting and her faith in God.
Predeceased by her son Kim Richard McGregor earlier this year and her brother Bill Smith a few years ago.
Funeral service will be Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Chemainus St. Micheals and all Angels Anglican Church with graveside at Chemainus Cemetery following.
