Elizabeth was born in Upper Cape, New Brunswick, spent her early years in Northern Quebec until her family moved to North Bay, Ontario. There she attended school including Teachers College where she graduated as a Primary Grade Teacher.
She married Russ in 1958 and lived in Vancouver, Montreal and Winnipeg before returning to Vancouver. Elizabeth taught Grade 2 in all those locations. We moved to Chemainus in 1991 where we built our dream home. We enjoyed
extensive travel in a variety of RVs across Canada, the US and Mexico. Elizabeth was a voracious reader and a wonderful cook.
Predeceased by her parents, Cedric and Maude Hicks and brother Boyd. Elizabeth developed Alzheimer's Disease resulting in home support, respite care and finally a move to Chemainus Health Care Centre.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care she received at CHCC and by Dr. Jim Broere. She leaves to mourn her husband Russ, sons Tim (Jennifer), Sean (Kristine) and grandchildren Lauren and Brooke.
Elizabeth was a kind and gentle soul, may she rest in peace.
