Heather is survived by husband John, sons Brian and Brad as well as brothers and sisters in Ontario.
A Campbell River resident since December 1995 when John transferred with BC Hydro from Nelson to the old John Hart powerhouse.
After leaving her previous job as an RN at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson, Heather had some difficulty finding suitable work in Campbell River. She decided to attend UBC where she obtained her B Sc in Nursing and became a part of the Home Care Nursing Team.
Locally, she could sometimes be seen driving her little French car with the blue & white striped roof visiting patients.
In 2019 Heather and John enjoyed what would turn out to be their last holiday together, in Portugal along with some of Heather's childhood friends.
Heather lived with cancer for two years before entering hospital for the final time where she passed away in her sleep.

Cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time.
A donation to Hospice Campbell River is preferred in lieu of flowers.
