August 24, 1950 - November 1, 2018
Passed away on November 1st, 2018 in Courtney Hospital. She was born in Coaldale Alberta on August 24th 1950 to Irene and Bill McBeath. The family moved to Chemainus in 1951 and Heather went to school in Chemainus and graduated from the high school. She took a secretarial course and worked briefly for Ladysmith School Board. She then worked for the Duncan IWA in 1974 and then moved to Courtenay in 1986 to continue with the IWA as an Executive Secretary. She was a fabulous secretary for the union and worked overboard to help union workers. She was a real advocate for the union.
Heather had two sons to Rick Kosalofski, they were the love of her life. Tyler is the older and works at the Stanley Park Restaurant. Corey is the youngest and is in training to be an aircraft structure technician.
Heather had a very soft heart for animals and would have taken all homeless animals in if she could. She loved her Mustangs. She also loved the yearly trips away with Mom and the sisters.
Heather was a compassionate and caring individual and she will be sadly missed by her 2 sons, sisters Valerie and Susan and their families, and her longtime friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Chemainus Legion from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, November 17th, 2018.
