U13 Cowichan Thunder get first win

The U17 Cowichan Thunder battled to a physical 4-3 loss to the visiting Comox Valley Wild at Kerry Park Arena on April 20.

U11

The U11 Thunder opened their season on April 20 against Juan de Fuca U11-2 at Kerry Park Arena.

Despite a valiant effort from the players, many of whom were playing in their first ever lacrosse games, the team lost. The Thunder looks forward to their next game, set for April 22 at Kerry Park Arena against Juan de Fuca U11-3.

U13B

The U13 Thunder got their first win of the season on April 19 against Saanich, beating the visiting team by an 8-5 score. Jackson Reid was the team's player of the game. 

The following day the U13s played Peninsula U13-2 but fell 8-2. Silas Degagne was the team's player of the game.

Up next is a road trip to Comox on April 26 to meet the Wild.

U17 B

The U17 Thunder played host to Juan de Fuca and Comox Valley on April 19 and 20 respectively.

Against Juan de Fuca, Cowichan fell 10-5. Jack Flynn was the team's player of the game.

The following day against Comox, it was a tough battle but Comox prevailed 4-3. Jett Blosky was the team's MVP.

The squad next plays on May 4 at Peninsula.

Junior B

The Jr. B Thunder played their first league game of the season on April 21 against the Westshore Bears at Kerry Park Arena. The result wasn't available at press time.

Senior C

The Thunder and the Rats were supposed to meet on April 20 in the first all-Cowichan meeting of the season but a lack of referees resulted in the game's postponement. 

The Rats will travel to Oceanside to meet the Sharks on April 27 while the Thunder visits the Snuneymuxw Sun Devils on May 3 and the Sharks on May 4.
