Island Health has lifted the swimming advisory at Transfer Beach, confirming that recent testing shows bacteria levels are now within acceptable limits.
As of June 8, swimming and other water activities are once again permitted at the popular Ladysmith waterfront site.
The advisory was issued earlier due to elevated levels of bacteria in the water. Regular testing is conducted to ensure public safety.
