A recent appeal to the public pertaining to the Delores (Deedee) Brown homicide case generated some response.

“I can confirm that additional information has been received by investigators and the file remains under investigation,” noted Cpl. Tammy Douglas, media relations for the RCMP’s Island District.

It’s been a little more than three years since Brown’s body was discovered on Aug. 19, 2015 near Norway Island after the Penelakut Island resident went missing three weeks earlier.

She had been with a group of friends July 27, 2015 and was not seen again after that.

Police believe some people know what happened to Brown and are continuing to ask anyone with information to contact them at the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit’s information line at 250-380-6211 or by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
