The Cowichan Valley Regional District recently completed a new draft Solid Waste Management Plan and will be seeking community input in the coming weeks.
The Plan sets out new waste reduction targets for the region and proposes strategies for managing municipal solid waste over the next 10 years, with a long-term vision of 25 years. Residents will have opportunities to provide input at a series of community open houses.
An open house in Saltair will take place Wednesday, Sept. 12 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Saltair Community Centre, 3850 South Oyster School Rd.
