June rainfall on Thetis Island well above average

Last year’s total of 17.5 mm in June a drop in the bucket compared to this year’s 50.3 mm

It rained a lot more on Thetis Island during June 2020 than in June a year ago.

Statistics kept by Keith Rush at his Foster Point Road residence reveal a total of 50.3 millimetres of rain in June compared to just 17.5 during June of 2019.

The average June on Thetis Island falls more in the middle with 29.3 mm.

The rainfall total for the first six months of 2020 on Thetis Island now sits at 628.9 mm. That’s well above June’s total at this point last year of 379.1 mm.

The average year to date total by the end of June is 498.5 mm.
