Flood signs are up at the Chemainus River bridge.

The intersection of Crofton Road and Chemainus Road is currently closed due to flooding.

The intersection frequently floods during periods of heavy rain. The large amount of rainfall in the past couple of days has made the roadway impassable.

Motorists are asked to use Herd Road as an alternate route to get into Crofton.

Mainroad South Island Contracting LP’s 24-hour communications centre passes on all observations and concerns to crews when contacted. The Mainroad 24-hour emergency hotline is 1-877-391-7310.
