Work on extensive improvements to Crofton Road from Chaplin Street to Chemainus Road is progressing well.

“The project is on schedule to be completed in July of 2021,” noted Miranda Spanakis, project assistant for the contractors, Windley Contracting Ltd. of Nanaimo.

“We are working towards paving in May, which will cause road delays,” she added.

There will be periodic traffic delays throughout the construction, particularly during the widening of Bonsall Hill that’s going on now.

From the outset, Windley developed a traffic control plan acceptable to the Ministry of Transportation to minimize traffic impacts.
