Crofton Road improvements rapidly taking shape

Traffic delays can be expected during the three months of construction remaining

It’s full speed ahead on improvements to Crofton Road from the intersection with Chemainus Road all the way to Chaplin Street.

The major work being done at the moment is on Bonsall Hill to widen the road and provide a shoulder. That involves considerable fill on one side and carving into the bank and reinforcing the other side.

Windley Contracting Ltd. of Nanaimo expects paving to commence in May and the work to be completed on time by July.

Periodic delays can be expected for traffic throughout the next three months.
