Chemainus businesses in the running for Victoria Times Colonist awards

Voting concluded so it’s now time to await the results

Chemainus Theatre Festival is up for an award.

Three Chemainus businesses are under consideration for the Victoria Times Colonist’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Chemainus Theatre Festival is listed for Best Live Performance, Timeless Rose B&B for Best Island Bed & Breakfast; and Willow Street Cafe for Best Coffee Shop.

Voting ended Oct. 29 and results will be released soon.

Meanwhile, the Chemainus & District Chamber of Commerce and the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a Paint Nite at the Sawmill Taphouse and Grill on Thursday, Nov. 2.

The evening features food, beverages, paint and loads of fun. Paint Nite Master Painter Kim Newns is providing all supplies, in addition to her professional expertise and direction required for creating a beautiful, take-home masterpiece.

The event is open to the entire community for $45 per person. Food and beverages are an additional cost.
