If Ed Sullivan was still around, he’d be saying this is a really big show – or ‘shoe’ in his unique vernacular.

Artists decided to think big for the big art show at the Rainforest Arts Gallery in downtown Chemainus that started at the beginning of the month and continues until mid-November.

All the wall space in the Chemainus Valley’s community gallery is taken up for the show. Works had to be at least 24 inches to 36 inches wide with no height limit to fit into the big category.

As an added bonus in October and November, there will be an opportunity for the public to meet the artists on various Saturdays or Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. Artists will be doing demos at the gallery during those times.

The events Calendar at CVCAS.ca shows who will be at the big art table each time.

Normal hours for the gallery at 9781 Willow St. are Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 250-246-4861 or email info@rainforestarts.ca.
