THURSDAY, DEC. 1

Musical Theatre Classes: taught by Stephanie Roth, once per week for 14 weeks, class size limited to 10-12 people, 10-11:30 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre downstairs main hall, 9824 Willow St.

Textile Circle: For knitters, crocheters, spinners, etc. to craft together, 10 a.m.-noon, Chemainus Library, 9796 Willow St.

Muffin and coffee mornings: 9:30-11 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre, 9824 Willow St.

Women’s choir: bring your voices, enthusiasm and smiling faces, Patricia Peace is the new conductress, must be fully vaccinated, 11 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre upper floor, 9824 Willow St.

Meat draw: 4-7 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall Lounge, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Bingo: Doors open at 4 p.m., games start at 6:30 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Live music: Mark Crissinger, blending traditional themes, clever lyrics and modern arrangements, original blues and roots music that reveals his singer-songwriter soul, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Riot Brewing Co., 101A-3055 Oak St., Chemainus.

FRIDAY, DEC. 3 AND SATURDAY, DEC. 4

Christmas Pop-Up Store: Toys, collectibles, stocking stuffers and more, cash only, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Cowichan Neighbourhood House, Unit 3-9806 Willow St., Chemainus.

SATURDAY, DEC. 3

Chemainus Rotary Club bottle drop: Refundables accepted to support local programs and charitable causes, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Rotary bunker, Chemainus Road (across from Subway).

Thetis Island Christmas Market: Jams, gnomes, knitted hats and gloves, wooden snowmen and trees, books by local authors, baking, soaps and so much more, free admission, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Forbes Hall, Thetis Island.

Chemainus Little Town Christmas: hot dogs, hot chocolate, games, door prizes for the kids, raffle tickets for the adults, free for children and all others by donation, 1-4 p.m., photos with Santa 2-3 p.m., Royal Canadian Legion 191 Hall, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Chemainus Elementary Winter Market: Vendors, bake sale, raffle baskets, crafts for kids, face painting, concession and scholastic book fair, free admission and open to the whole community, 1-3 p.m., Chemainus Elementary School, 3172 Garner St.

Meat draw: 3-6 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall Lounge, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Live music: Blue Moon Marquee, A.W. Cardinal (vocals/guitar) and Jasmine Colette, a.k.a. Crofton For Christmas: Hot dogs, hot chocolate, carol sing-along, 6:30-8 p.m., parade at 7 p.m., free pictures with Santa for one hour following the parade, sponsored by the Crofton Community Centre Society and Warmland Church, Joan Ave., Crofton.

MONDAY, DEC. 5

Bingo: doors open at 4:45 p.m., games begin at 6:40 p.m., hot dogs, canned soda, coffee and tea for sale, Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre, 9824 Willow St., Chemainus.

TUESDAY, DEC. 6

Men’s choir: bring your voices and enthusiasm, must be fully vaccinated, 10:30 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre upper floor, 9824 Willow St.

Steam club: Family literacy learning together through science, technology, engineering, art and math, 3-5 p.m., Chemainus Library, 9796 Willow St.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 7
