Museum exhibit: Featuring a new ’70s exhibit, open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Chemainus Valley Museum, 9799 Waterwheel Cres.

THURSDAY, NOV. 24

Musical Theatre Classes: taught by Stephanie Roth, once per week for 14 weeks, class size limited to 10-12 people, 10-11:30 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre downstairs main hall, 9824 Willow St.

Textile Circle: For knitters, crocheters, spinners, etc. to craft together, 10 a.m.-noon, Chemainus Library, 9796 Willow St.

FRIDAY, NOV. 25

Muffin and coffee mornings: 9:30-11 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre, 9824 Willow St.

Women’s choir: bring your voices, enthusiasm and smiling faces, Patricia Peace is the new conductress, must be fully vaccinated, 11 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre upper floor, 9824 Willow St.

Meat draw: 4-7 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall Lounge, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Bingo: Doors open at 4 p.m., games start at 6:30 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Live music: Clanna Morna Live, East Coast music, energetic and captivating, inspired by Irish, Scottish and English traditions, 7-9 p.m., Riot Brewing Co., 101A-3055 Oak St., Chemainus.

Everything Christmas: Chemainus United Church annual bazaar, Christmas baking, seasonal decor, crafts, collectibles, toys and a “new to you” table, 3-8 p.m., Chemainus United Church upper hall, 9814 Willow St., the Free Radical Dixie Band will be playing Christmas carols in the church sanctuary from 3-3:45 p.m. and everyone is welcome to drop in and listen, the ukulele group that meets weekly at the United Church will also play carols after that. The group is open to anyone and it would be a good opportunity for someone interested in learning to play the ukulele to see what it is all about. Both musical presentations are free for everyone.

Moonlight Madness: Shopping event and food event with special discounts, meals and prizes, 4-8 p.m., downtown Chemainus.

SATURDAY, NOV. 26

Chemainus Rotary Club bottle drop: Refundables accepted to support local programs and charitable causes, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Rotary bunker, Chemainus Road (across from Subway).

Chemainus Fire hall Craft Fair: More than 60 craft fair vendors all home-created, raffle prizes donated by the community and around the island, concession, bake sale and raffle, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Chemainus Fire Hall inside the main hall room and truck bay, 9901 Chemainus Rd.

Chemainus Village Square Craft and Merchant Sale: A special guest appearance by Santa for photos at Island Savings and more barbecue hotdogs from the 49th Parallel Grocery, Chemainus Village Square, 3055 Oak St.

Chemainus Legion Christmas craft and gift sale: crafts, home baking, preserves and gifts, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., kitchen open for lunch at noon, Chemainus Legion Hall, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Meat draw: 3-6 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall Lounge, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Trivia with Coop and Math: Lord of the Rings edition, bring your friends, elves and dwarves for a fun night of halfling hijinx. $10 for a fellowship of four, 7 p.m., Riot Brewing Co., 101A-3055 Oak St., Chemainus.

MONDAY, NOV. 28

Bingo: doors open at 4:45 p.m., games begin at 6:40 p.m., hot dogs, canned soda, coffee and tea for sale, Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre, 9824 Willow St., Chemainus.

TUESDAY, NOV. 29

Steam club: Family literacy learning together through science, technology, engineering, art and math, 3-5 p.m., Chemainus Library, 9796 Willow St.
