Museum exhibit: Featuring a new ’70s exhibit, open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Chemainus Valley Museum, 9799 Waterwheel Cres.

Musical Theatre Classes: taught by Stephanie Roth, once per week for 14 weeks, class size limited to 10-12 people, 10-11:30 a.m., Chemainus 55+ Activity Centre downstairs main hall, 9824 Willow St.

Textile Circle: For knitters, crocheters, spinners, etc. to craft together, 10 a.m.-noon, Chemainus Library, 9796 Willow St.

FRIDAY, NOV. 11

Remembrance Day services: Everyone welcome again this year, 11 a.m., Chemainus Cenotaph.

SATURDAY, NOV. 12

Chemainus Rotary Club bottle drop: Refundables accepted to support local programs and charitable causes, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Rotary bunker, Chemainus Road (across from Subway).

Meat draw: 3-6 p.m., Chemainus Legion 191 Hall Lounge, 9775 Chemainus Rd.

Live music: Woodstick, fun interpretations of folk and rock classics, 7-10 p.m., Riot Brewing Co., 101A-3055 Oak St., Chemainus.

Live music: South Island Rhythm Kings, a four-piece blues band steeped in traditional early blues, at the nucleus is the father and son team of Lazy Mike Mallon and Carson Mallon, reservations recommended at 250-324-2245, tickets $15 at eventbrite.ca, 8 p.m., Osborne Bay Pub, the Cowichan Valley’s live music destination, 1534 Joan Ave., Crofton.
