New ferry on Crofton-Vesuvius run still seems strange

Good old Howe Sound Queen missed by many

FERRY TALE The M.V. Quinitsa is now on the Crofton to Vesuvius ferry run. It still seems strange, even after two and a half months, seeing a different ferry on the route than the good old Howe Sound Queen. But it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the M.V. Quinitsa that was formerly on the Denman Island to Buckley Bay route. It holds about eight less vehicles than the Howe Sound Queen and can accommodate more commercial vehicles, but there have been some long lineups at times at the Crofton ferry terminal.
