It was a completely different show of force by North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.

Police officers and staff from the detachment continued their tradition of touring retirement homes in the Cowichan Valley to spread Christmas cheer through their carol singing.

They were joined by North Cowichan Mayor Al Siebring and Duncan Mayor Michelle Staples, who instantly became unified with the RCMP choir. The carollers attended six retirement communities in the span of one morning last week.

“It gives us great pleasure to come into these homes and spend a few minutes with the residents,” noted Const. Pam Bolton, media relations officer for the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP. “As you can see in the picture, resident Joy was very excited to join us while we sang.”

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP wish everyone a safe and happy holidays.
