It’s that time again, time to change your clocks.

The switch to Pacific Daylight Time takes place this weekend.

It’s advised to move your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed on Saturday night, March 11. PDT officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 12.

The debate continues to rage about the practice of changing the clocks twice each year or the possibility of sticking with PDT or Pacific Standard Time year-round.

There are pros and cons to both choices. And, contrary to popular opinion, an extra hour of daylight does not magically appear when during the switch to PDT. The daylight just gets shuffled from the morning hours to the evening.

The hold-up for B.C. has been the reluctance of Pacific Northwest states to make the change in the interest of unison along the coast.
