Chemainus’ Grace Johnson is one of the reasons why so many groups support the War Amps Child Amputee Program.

The Parksville Lawn Bowling Club hosted its 27th annual tournament to raise funds for the program on Canada Day and Johnson, a member of the program, was there to accept the donation on behalf of the association.

The funds raised will provide amputees with financial assistance for artificial limbs and programs that assist them in living with amputation.
