Encore! Encore!

People just can’t get enough of Dawn Adams’ entertainment productions and another example came Friday and Saturday at the St. Michael and All Angels Church Hall in Chemainus.

Her Roaring ’20s Who Dunnit with a wonderful cast of six women, three men and a magician was a huge hit with audiences.

Take a bow Guylaine Leblanc, Carol Fowler, Lois Anderson, Jane Anderson, Donna McCasky, Gail O’Hara, Rick Bayley, Peter Finlay, Ken Hiebert and magician Darren Charles.

They were all so good it had the crowd calling out for more.

“It was fabulous,” enthused director Adams, who worked with the cast long and hard in rehearsals leading up to the show. “It was so packed in there Saturday you could hardly move.”

The audience seemed to love all the participation dances and joined in enthusiastically.

“They were just having a blast doing the Macarena, the Mambo,” noted Adams. “The whole place was just swinging.”

It’s always hard to top the previous show each time, but Adams, the cast and everyone behind the scenes seems to do it.

“I get this every time I do a show, people say ‘that’s the best show you’ve ever done,’” she indicated.

Adams promises she’ll be complying with those special requests and delivering more next year.

It’ll be Love Boat No. 2, following on the keel of the successful launch of Love Boat No. 1 in October of 2014.

“No. 1 was absolutely hilarious,” recalled Adams.

Setting sail with another Love Boat show is sure to be an adventure when the time comes.
